Biography of George Tenet

George John Tenet, director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), was born and raised in New York.

He earned a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and a master's degree in International Relations from Columbia University.

Before his appointment as the director of the CIA, Tenet worked as a special assistant to the President of the United States and as the senior director for intelligence at the National Security Council.
